In cooperation with the  South Cook County Professional Firefighters Association, Local 2720 supports  the IAFF Burn Foundation. The foundation provides grants towards both the prevention of burn injuries and the treatment for burn survivors. Local 2720 president Mike Kilburg represented the State of Illinois at the 2003 IAFF National Children's Burn Camp which is held each year in Washington D.C.
